RAW is an interactive WebXR experience, that aims to positively impact perceptions of disability, through the eyes of Paralympians. Featuring the incredible athletes, Katie Kelly, Lex Gillette, Chan Ho Yuen, Mohammad Abbas Karimi, Birgit Skarstein, this experience allows viewers to get to explore their uplifting stories and showcases how our emotions unite us all. You can stand beside them and witness the emotions that define their most challenging, and rewarding moments.
The experience was designed in collaboration between the International Paralympic Committee, Facebook & PHORIA. I once again, collaborated with the Phoria team of creatives and developers to help create this inspiring piece of immersive content.
I helped create the animated sequences for all 5 athletes. My job was taking 3d models through the pipeline from rigging, animation blocking and staging in virtual reality, to final polished animation with the voice over dialog.
As a nominee for the emmy award for Outstanding Digital Innovation (2022) and a 2022 Webby Award winner, this free content is a must watch for everyone. I’d recommend the VR version.
