Working at Animal Logic, I helped bring dinosaurs back to life in the Barry Cook directed feature film “Walking With Dinosaurs 3D”. The work had me creating keyframe animation of many different species of dinosaurs, such as prehistoric ravens, chickens, lizards and rhinoceros. Realism was the focus on this project. The dinosaurs were placed into real world locations and paleontological research contributed from world experts, helped inform the movements of the dinosaurs. The characters in the film exhibited relationships with each other using animalistic behaviour true to their historical descendants of today. This project pushed me creatively and technically as I needed to become an expert in quadrupedal locomotion.
Check out a sizzle reel of the shots I worked on in the film.
